Spartan Misano Adriatico – Sprint in Italy: No Penalties, Scorching Heat, and My Trifecta Completed!

Another international Spartan race in the books – this time in Misano Adriatico, a picturesque seaside town on the east coast of Italy. The Sprint course led us along the beach promenade, through local parks, and of course – on the sand itself. Running beside the sea, feeling the salty breeze, hearing the waves and soaking in the sunshine – this race was an experience to remember.

Heat, high heart rate, and soft sand

This race came with a serious twist – scorching heat. The sun was intense from the start, and there was hardly any shade on the course. My heart rate shot up almost immediately, and staying focused under those conditions was a challenge. Running on sand added another level of difficulty – your feet sink, every step requires more effort, and it tests your technique and endurance. Tough? Yes. But I loved every second of it.

First time ever – no penalties!

What made this race even more special – it was the first time I completed a Spartan race with zero penalties. I nailed every obstacle – technical, strength-based, and balance-focused – on the first attempt. I felt completely dialed in, both physically and mentally. When I jumped over the fire at the finish line, the sense of satisfaction was incredible.

The atmosphere? Nothing beats home

Now, let’s talk about atmosphere. Italy has beautiful scenery, but the energy just wasn’t there. Compared to the Czech races, it was night and day. Very few spectators, barely any cheering. Maybe the Italians save their passion for football. But back home? We have incredible fans, loud support, and an electric vibe that pushes you forward when you’re running on empty. Spartan Czech Republic – you know how to bring the fire!

Misano completed my 2025 Trifecta

Another reason Misano meant so much – this race completed my 2025 Trifecta! Sprint in Italy, Super in Žatec, and Beast in Morzine, France. Three races, three countries, and three unforgettable challenges. I’m truly proud of what I achieved this year – and grateful for every step of the journey.

What’s next? Spartan Trifecta Weekend Lipno – this time, as an ambassador!

Next up: Spartan Trifecta Weekend in Lipno, Czech Republic – October 11–12, 2025. But this time, I won’t be racing. Instead, I’ll be there as an official Spartan ambassador and a proud supporter of my amazing team, OCR Veverky, who are showing up in huge numbers to compete in all categories – Sprint, Super, and Beast in STG waves.

And me? I’ll be leading warm-ups throughout the entire weekend, helping to create that signature Spartan energy, and cheering on every athlete, from elite racers to first-timers. I’m especially looking forward to supporting the Spartan Kids, who always bring joy, passion, and a reminder of why we love this sport so much.
